The roast beef, made only with British beef, was praised as excellently medium-rare, with the gravy singled out as 'a bomb of natural umami' and 'the real star of the dish' — the carrots, cabbage, and pork crackling were also impressive.
Heads up: Sunday roast is only served on Sundays, and Sunday reservations are fully booked, so you need to walk in right at opening; portions for two are huge, making it a real challenge to finish within an hour.
Raved about the aged pork, lamb, and beef each served with their own sauce, plus fluffy Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, and vegetables, with unlimited gravy to pour on as much as you like.
Heads up: Ordered for 3 but the portion looked like it was meant for 4 — the amount of food was massive; the Sunday roast is a Sunday-only menu item.
