He loved the variety of steamed bites — the sweet-and-savory char siu bao ("you could come here just for that"), the steamed egg cake and radish cake with lardons, both judged "outstanding" and very original, plus the duck, surprisingly tender thanks to its sauce.
Heads up: This isn't the place for Peking duck: it's Cantonese-style (not Peking-style) and the sauce comes in a plastic packet; they also felt there was too much dough compared to filling in the rice crepe, and the chicken feet require a lot of work for little payoff.
